Yay! It’s pansy time! Spring is my favorite season of the year. It’s not that I have a Spring complexion. I’m told I’m a winter in my coloring. I love spring because it’s the renewal of life. After the cold of winter, I feel reborn when I see blossoms on trees and flowers in gardens, hear birds singing, feel the warmth of the sun and can finally shed a few layers of clothes and blankets. I love the sights, sounds and smells that bless our senses!
I like living where there are four seasons. But I LOVE temperate climates where there’s more warm than cold. In February we had our first Spring days. Had we been on the ball, we could have planted cabbages and early lettuce in the garden and enjoyed harvesting them in a few weeks. Oh well, I’m not going to beat myself up for what I could have done. I’m grateful for what I am doing and even more, for what my husband Rog is doing while I blog. He’s planting the pansies in the big pot for our front dooryard!
Have I told you lately that I love that guy?
